Reflection Is Completely Black at Most Angles

I tried making a reflection with both a planar reflection plane and a reflection material, and both have these shadows that fill the reflective space depending on the angle. When I face toward the mirror, the whole thing becomes black. I am not sure why this is happening despite messing around with some Lumen settings to fix it.

The scene looks really dark too, is that on purpose?
Or do you by any chance have auto exposure enabled?

FYI, Planar reflections don’t work with Lumen.

Hm…

I’m going on a limb here but can you try placing another reflection probe actor.

Maybe that’s gone missing or broken somehow.

Not sure about auto exposure, but the brightness of the light doesn’t have any impact on the black shadow the fills the reflection.

The screenshot shows a mirror material instead of the planar reflection, though the planar reflection had the exact same result.

Though, I think it might be a problem with the physical part of the mesh that I’m reflecting, because when i moved added the planar reflection and put it elsewhere, it reflected just fine. Although it doesn’t actually show up in game runtime.

UPDATE: I am yet the fool once again. I had to place a planar reflection over the already-created reflective material and now it works perfectly. I tried just placing the planar reflection, which in itself shows nothing during runtime. So I added the mirror material to the window pane, add the planar reflection on top of it, and now it reflect as normal.
