Referencing and changing the variable in a different object

Hey fellow forumers!
Ive this weird problem here, pretty much what I want to do, is that when my character comes into collision with a score point (for now just a standard sphere mesh) I want my character’s score to be raised by one.
Here’s my Blueprint for now… I am doing the code in the score object. Help! And of course Thank you very much

Did you set up the collisions to overlap?

Hook up your execute nodes from your cast to your set

Edit/ Yes I had the overlap all function ticked, the problem was with the cast-set nodes not being connected.
