This looks so freaky nice. Can already hear my pc screaming when trying to walk through the scene like that ;p
hnnng * Hnnnnng
nice work
9.9/10 not enough ewoks. =P
Congrats on finishing!
It looks great, feels like it’s straight out of Quixel megascans
I was wondering, you’re using 4-materials Vertex painting?
I’m not using vertex painting.
Thanks.
Nice!
Are you gonna put it on Gumroad?
That depends totally on Epic and whether they want to start letting people release their packages on the UE4 Marketplace or not.
I already have one package submitted a while ago, I still don’t even know if they have reviewed it or not since they’re not answering emails nor PMs. And we’re a drop in the ocean (As you are aware from the thread in Creator’s Hub there’re probably 50 others having the same issue). Releasing UE4 packs on platforms other than UE4 Marketplace is always the last resort for most of us sellers, but yes that’s an option in case the current situation don’t improve.

Yeah, marketplace is slow at the moment. I submitted an update weeks ago which hasn’t been processed yet
So I say go ahead and put it onto Gumroad! I’d like to check it out
I agree… or at least give us a hint at the price… I’m leaning towards the MAWI redwood pack but this looks so much better!
I agree, just put it on Gumroad, please don’t bother with marketplace right now, marketplace isn’t going to get fixed anytime soon, we need to get updates quick! when do you plan on releasing if you choose gumroad? my credit card is waiting
@order66, @kkhaial I very much like Gumroad. Specially the fact that they charge only 5% for everything they offer. Let’s see if things start to work a bit faster here now that the summer sale is on and staff can get back to work with sellers.
@traveltrousers, Thanks for the compliment.
I’ve got to wonder, how do you actually go about baking those billboards? They actually look nice - which mine usually don’t - and I’m wondering if you’re doing it in an actually efficient way. I definitely am not; I’m taking screenshots and then making the backgrounds transparent to manually scale them to a plane. Definitely some room for improvement on my side there.
Also, since you’re using Megascans (right?), it’s worth noting you’re not allowed to resell any of the atlases or the like. If you’re going to sell the pack, basically you’ll have to cut out the Megascans stuff, I think. Not completely sure, but you might want to check that.
You can repackage the assets as long as they’ve been altered… you can’t just zip all the vanilla files and sell them as is… I’m sure he’s fine
I’ve asked before and got a green light. I can double check on Monday when people are back to office. At the worst I’d have to swap a few textures here and there with my own and rework the fallen tree.
Nice details but the tree trunks look a little ‘cartoonish’ and flat compared to the rest of the assets.
Do you have some screenshots of the entire forest and complete trees?
Whats the performance in your scene and how big is the forest?
Thanks
joe-
Oh and an asset overview shot would be cool too, to see what we get.
joe-
Did you get a response from Quixel?
What the status of this package?
