Redundant settings in 3D previews and conversion to GLB, USDZ (confused)

When uploading a 3D model to preview, you have to upload the 3D file, the textures and set the lights, materials, etc… Perfect.

Now when I upload the different file formats, FBX, OBJ, USD for download. And I want to convert to GLB or gltf again I have to configure all the materials.

It is a double work that I think is unnecessary since it could be converted from the preview or the preview could come from the GLB configuration.

It is confusing and I do not fully understand this workflow.
