Recover sequencer

Hello Unreal Engine Forums Community,

I’m reaching out to you because I lost my sequence data and therefore, my progress on one of my Ureal Projects.
Everything occurred on Friday when I was working on my project. I noticed that the programme was behaving strangely. Things were moved in my sequencer out of nowhere. Then I got a message to restart to fix drive errors. I ignore it because I was almost done with my project, and I did not want to lose time, but couldn’t continue because weird things kept happening with my sequencer. So, I rebooted the computer. It apparently repaired the drivers, but when I opened my Unreal project there were a lot of errors. Neither Lumen nor ray tracing were on and when I opened the level the lights were super bright and the worse of all, my sequence was not there. I checked on the source file and the sequence file literally has got no data.
is there a way to recover my sequence at least? Why did this happen?

Please, I would really appreciate your help.

Best regards,

Hi there,

If you are working in sequencer and have the ‘Auto Save’ turned On, in that case you should go to your Windows File Explorer and head to the ‘Saved’ folder of your Unreal Project and then to ‘AutoSaves’. You should find some versions of the sequencer uasset in one of the subfolders.
Or try looking in other subfolders, my guess is you should find the same in the AutoSaves folder itself.

Hope that helps!
