Reconstruction problem

Hi everybody,

I tried to reconstruct a model from a set of about 10 000 images. The alignment was made out of multiple components and there was no Problem, but at the reconstruction process the program is crashing. After about the half of the process the RAM is at 100% and the computer is hanging. I also tried to let the machine run for a few days, but nothing changes.

Is there any problem in my settings?

I also have start the hole project from scratch, to get sure there are no issues with the alignment.

It would be great if anybody can help me!

 

The computer specs should be more then enough:

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X16-Core Processor

128GB RAM

2x NVIDIA Titan V

Hi Hape,

 

Nice data set. For your issue I’d suggest to change the value of the ‘Maximal vertices’ count per part’ from your value of 40 million to the default value of 5 million.
