Hey there @ohora1! Welcome to the community! Generally Unreal Engine 5 is best run on desktops due to the hardware recommendations for UE5 are somewhat heavier than previous versions. In particular a dedicated GPU with at least 8gb of VRAM is recommended for laptop setups as well to avoid the “7 fps” you had ran into before. While most modern laptops can clear the CPU speed requirements, the memory requirements are often a bit harder to find. If you can muster at minimum 8gb the engine can run, but you may run into issues on more substantial projects. This limits your scope to somewhat beefier laptops of any category, in which the tablet style are often smaller profile and don’t tend to meet these specs.
2 years ago i bought top of the line ROG Asus tablet. Yes it could run ue5, … for about 30min.
Then it started overheating, every single time even with empty project. And i bought it for presentations, not really for working on it.
So do not believe in specs of thin laptops or tablets.
