We have a setup with a video plate as background and a captured character in realtime in the foreground. We got it managed to set up a composure scene in unreal and it works. But we cant sync the layers. Animation seems to be played diffent then the background. framerate is 25 frames and tick resolution is 24000 ticks. we tryed exr and png at different resolutions.
in the composure tutorial scene it syncs fine with exr files at HD resolution but how?
If you’re using an image sequence it should work. Can you post a screenshot of your sequencer timeline?
One thing I’ve found is that if you’re rendering from sequencer, you want an image sequence, while if you’re playing it back real time in game, you want a .mp4. Not sure if this is a render or a real time sequence.
it has to be all realtime. We dont want to reneder anything. The task is virtual production. We stream a backgroundplate in and we want to have realtime mocap actors in front of the plate.
Really strange is that it works fine if i scrubb thru but if i push play the animation on the character is not played smooth,
