Really slow cooking / packaging

Hello,

I have a problem with cooking / packing.

I have imported some samples (models, textures, etc) and created a level with ui (one graphic, 3 buttons)

For testing i wanted to create (pack) the project

The process is now running something like 9 hours.

Computer:
i5 9500 6C/6T
48GB RAM
RTX 2060 + Intel HD 630
256GB SSD (Windows)
512GB SSD (Software only / Unreal Engine)
128GB SSD (User Profile)
1TB Hardware-Raid 1 (Only the project, Vault Cache and the Derived Data Cache)

Software:
Windows 11
Unreal Engine 5.0.3

The process is currently still running.

In the current / only scene only 2 images and 3 buttons are used.

Are all assets available in the project still provided / exported?
And will this also compile the shaders of unused assets?

How did you set your packaging settings?

I noticed when I have the NVIDIA’s MDL plugin installed, its also slows down the cooking time.

MDL is not installed

Have you followed any instructions regarding the proper settings? Your packaging time is unusual. Let me see if I can find any guidance.

Hi, have you tried the tutorials yet? Are you cooking only maps or everything? Really slow cooking / packaging - #4 by L.F.A
