Reallusion Auto Setup for Unreal 5.3

Reallusion just released their updated plugin for UE5.3 and I have an issue. When I download a base character from CC4 and drag it into a map, it looks fine. When I view the character in the preview window, the skin surface is bright and almost ‘glowing’. Any idea on the cause?

The bright and glowing appearance of the character’s skin in the preview window when using Reallusion’s CC4 character in Unreal Engine 5.3 may be due to incorrect material settings or lighting in your scene. Ensure you have the correct materials and lighting setup for the character to resolve this issue.

I don’t think it is incorrect material settings or lighting in my scene. After experimenting a bit, I discovered that it only happens when I import a CC4 character to UE5.3 with the plugin and choose ‘HQ Shader’ in the Auto setup prompt. If I choose ‘Standard Shader’, there is no issue. Remember, I am talking about the preview screen. Usually, you don’t adjust too much there. Also remember that it does not do it in UE5.2 or earlier. Either there is a default setting in UE5.3 that wasn’t default in earlier versions, or the plugin has a ‘HQ Shader’ bug.

The exact same thing happened to me, and do you have a problem when you render the hair in motion?
