I think it would be helpful if people shared helpful advice about taking better scans with RealityScan here!

For me, I find that taking photos from a distance first and then moving closer adds a fuller point cloud later on.

Make sure the subject is completely in focus, might have to adjust your distance/lens and aperture to make it happen. Lock the camera settings,

It’s worth it to manually make sure all the photos are in focus and sharp before importing the images.

Be aware the object’s surface needs enough information for the software to track throughout photos. Things that are super uniform can be tricky to capture, you can always put stickers, paint, or dust flour on those surfaces.
