I work with a medical device manufacturing company. We make foot orthotics and ankle braces. The industry is currently using the Structure Sensor Scanner to take 3d scans of a person’s lower leg and foot. Every Company has their own app.
I have had success using RealityScan to capture this.
The current app takes patients name, birthdate, age, and shoe size.
It then scans the left and right foot separately and uploads to our servers.
The data is encrypted to be HIPPA compliant.
We would like to develop an App to replace the structure scanner and move to the iphone. If you think this is possible and you are able to create a app using realityscan to achieve this let me know. If you can figure this out it would be the 1st in the industry to use the outward facing camera to capture an accurate 3d model of the foot.
