I have an odd problem with the RC 1.2 Tarasque.
I’ve installed it for the first time, opened the program, then at the registration window my computer froze so I’ve to force a re-start.
After that, RC doesn’t start at all! When I double click the icon I get the spinning wheel for a fraction of a second but the program doesn’t start. There’s also no sign of any process starting when I look into the task Manager.
I’ve tried everything:
- Repair, uninstall many times with the RC installer.
- Uninstall with specific software to remove all the files correctly.
- Uninstall and clean the registry from all the RC entries.
- Tried to run the program with Administrator rights.
- Followed many guides on the web relating to the problem of programs that don’t want to start. Tried to clean the permissions, make sure that some processes are running, and many other checks they suggest made no change.
- Tried to create a second account with Admin rights.
- Checked and installed the latest Nvidia drivers (I’ve a Gtx 1080, 64gbyte ram, dual Xeon).
At this point, I gave up. Only RC gives me this problem. I don’t know what to do, except to format the PC, a solution that I don’t and can’t take at this moment… Any suggestion on how to try to resolve this problem will be very welcome!
