Reality Capture Crashes when trying texture reprojection

I’m not super experienced when it comes to using reality capture however I am trying to export a model of my house. I wanted to lower the polygon count first and use the texture projection tool to make it a smaller file size. So I used the simplify tool to lower my triangle count from 29 million to around 200k. Then I tried using the reprojection tool with the 29 million triangle model being my source and the 200k being the result. However every time I try running this Reality Capture Crashes. I tried using high and low setting for the super sampling but it didn’t change anything. I also used automatic for the reprojection distance. Like I said I’m fairly new to making models since I normally just take the pictures for them. So I may just have a setting or something that needs to be changed. But If anybody knows anyway to solve this I’d appreciate it.

Hi FlyyByyLLC,

it is better to simplify your model in 50% incremental steps. This is quite big step (from 29 mil to 200k), so there could be some model errors over the model, which can cause these problems.

Did you change some of these settings or are you using default settings?
