RealisticRendering takes forever to Launch on 4.11.1

I submit this as a bug, because sample is made by Epic Games.

How to reproduce the bug:

  1. Download UE 4.11.1
  2. Download Realistic Rendering by Epic Games sample from marketplace
  3. Press “Launch” in the Editor.

I waited 12 hours, nothing happenned, CPU usage was 50%.

Bug is reproducable on fresh new copies of Editor and Sample. I did no changes to project.

Hello, I have the same issuer. Scalability settings are high, and shadows settings are epic. Driver is up to date.

Have you tried updating to 4.11.2 to see if you get the same error? If you lower the scalability settings do you see any change?

I’ve been trying this on my end, however I have not had any success in reproducing this. When I launch, it takes ~2 minutes, which can be attributed to the detailed materials and lighting, and it launches without any problems. Do you have any other programs running when you attempt to launch the demo? Do you see a large memory spike when you attempt to do so?
