Realistic Open-World Hunting Game (PC & Console) – Early Concept

Hello everyone,

I’m working on an early-stage concept for a realistic open-world hunting game being developed in Unreal Engine for PC and console.

The goal is to represent authentic Southern hunting culture with systems focused on realism rather than arcade gameplay, including:

• Realistic wildlife behavior and tracking

• Land management and preparation

• Dog hunting mechanics

• Weather, scent, and terrain interaction

• Off-road truck use and navigation

This project aims to fill a gap in current hunting titles by combining cultural authenticity with open-world simulation. I’m currently in the concept / early prototype stage and exploring systems and scope in Unreal Engine.

I’d appreciate feedback or resources from developers experienced with large outdoor environments, AI behavior, or simulation systems.
