this looks normal to me. It seems to be RC cache. You can delete this inside the RC app in the Settings. You propably did not clear your RC cache for a long time.
Yap, was a bit scared when i realized that the harddrive is so heavily used, because SSD have a fixed lifetime, so i changed the cache dir to a cheap spinning disk for now. (can’t even tell if it makes a huge difference between processing with a ssd or a spinning disk)
I’ve only had the software a few weeks…RC really should do some automatic house cleaning of it’s own…

RC has ability to automatically clean it’s cache, you just have to set it true. Settings > Clear cache on exit = true
careful here - it is usually not recommended to clear cache with each exit because without keeping RC temp files the app has to recompute already detected points and reconstructed depth maps anew which slows down the processing
