Real collaboration on the same maps?

Hello,
We want me and my friend to get into the business of creating a video game.
So we started to collaborate with GitHub…
The problem is that if we both want to work on the same card, once github does his job, the cards are corrupted and neither of us can open them… it’s a bit annoying because it’s 5 times.
Is there another way that, beyond sharing files, we could work on the same map : him by adding his 3D objects and me by texturing them.
Is the only possibility really to work on separate maps?
Thank you in advance for your help.

There’s a feature in Unreal for collaborating in the same map in real-time.

Wow !! thank you so much for not seeing him earlier !!! sorry about that stupid question so… see you soon.

Maybe I got carried away too quickly. Beyond the installation, which is quite complicated, you have to work at the same time. But we are not always together sometimes one of us has to leave and the other one can’t do anything anymore. github can’t merge the modifications. or maybe I set it up wrong? how can I do that? thanks in advance.

I see. Sorry, I didn’t know the entire workflow basis. How about saving the project so when one person is not there, the other is able to work in it? That’s simple, but not sure if it works well in your situation. So the idea is to be capable on working on the same project, and not have two different / separate projects that have to be updated with the same stuff over and over. Same project, same files / folders, and it’s all updated efficiently…while also capable of providing for working live and simultaneously in that same project? I don’t know how to do it. It’s an excellent question. Try posting in the forum if haven’t already…either General or Content Creation, or Off-Topic. May even try contacting Epic directly about it. But you’ll need to be far more specific to get a thorough answer.

I see! Thanks for your help. What I want is for person A and person B to work on a game. Person A adds a cube to the game maps. He registers and later person B comes to put a pyramid next to it. I want that when it registers the two people have the pyramid and the cube. With GitHub it’s the goal but I don’t know why it doesn’t work. If the B adds the pyramid the A will have a proposal to merge the modifications but in the end it will be corrupted. Your idea was perfect, we could do that, but you had to open the server in a specific time and the two people couldn’t really work on their own … is that clearer? I will try to ask directly for support.

contacting support for epic is paying ? I need a pro license ?
