I thought I had deleted this post…
But @FrostyJas managed to write a comment after this.
Maybe he is a moderator. So I’m going to answer it here because I can’t write there anymore.
The problem was that I had “high GPU usage” due to SSAO
I looked for some option to adjust the parameters and get better performance.
But what I found was disabled and could not be modified.
Finally I found in project setting an option to disable ambient occlusion.
And that’s why I deleted the post.
I didn’t really fix the problem… I just swept it under the rug.
But the truth is that this way I have a better FPS. And there is no noticeable difference between using and not using ambient occlusion. (At least in my game).
Well, if @FrostyJas wants to contribute alternative solutions, they are welcome. For me and for future people who read this post (I’m not going to delete it this time).
I also want to improve CompositionPreLighting and Postprocessing if possible. But I don’t know how to do it yet.
My problem is only in the editor, I have very sudden drops in FPS (between 50 and 100 FPS)
However, in Standalone the game runs great. I get between 150 and 200 FPS.
My map is very small and only has a few things.
I don’t understand how people who make huge landscapes full of stuff can use the editor without it exploding. Maybe they have a quantum computer. But my computer is also good… I have two XEON processors with 64 threads y a 1080TI.
I’ve been disabling things for weeks and applying design patterns like “object pooling” or “FOV” to get better FPS in the editor… and there’s no way!!
Thank you so much!!
Best Regards!!
