I’m trying to reimport a texture file in which I am adding an alpha channel where previously there was none. For some reason, it refuses to recognize that I’ve made the addition. The alpha channel is visible in the PNG file I’m importing but that’s the only thing I could think of to try. I’m using UE5.1.1 and I’m not sure if this is a bug or if I’m missing some setting on the re-import. I know I can delete and re-add or import a completely new file but I’m also connected to P4 and deleting can be tricky so I’d like to avoid this if possible. It sure seems like something I should be able to do

Ohh, I thought that command was for new assets only, like if I needed to point it to a different location! That seems to have done the trick, thank you!
