RC won't launch or install

Hi, I was trying to launch RC 1.5.1 in Epic launcher and it just won’t launch. I wanted to reinstall it and it won’t even install. I can click on the button but it won’t do anything. It prompted EU-FA-503 and that was it. Please help.

me too bro I tried several things, including launching it with Steam, opening it in compatibility mode, and opening it with an administrator, but I couldn’t download any games and Unreal Engine

Recommended Troubleshooting Steps

1. Restart and Check the Internet

  • Fully close the Epic Games Launcher (via Task Manager).

  • Ensure they have a stable internet connection.

2. Run as Administrator

  • Right-click the Epic Games Launcher icon.
  • Select “Run as administrator.”

This often resolves permission-related installation issues.

3. Clear the Launcher Cache

  • Close the launcher.

Navigate to:

C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved

  • Delete the folder named “webcache.”
  • Reopen the launcher.

4. Check for Launcher Updates

  • Once reopened, ensure the Epic Games Launcher is fully up to date.

5. Use the Direct Installer

Try launching the Application in this case, RealityCapture, directly from the App folder here:

Hi, I tried again today and it worked. Thanks for the detailed explanation. Though I don’t think blocking users from opening a production software over an internet issue is ever a good idea. Thanks again.
