RC unstable with abnormal paging

Ryzen 9 5900x - 32GB ddr4 3400Mhz - Rtx 3080 - Samsung 980 m.2 SSD

Project with about 2000 photos, half at 12mpx, half at 24mpx.
No problem for alignment and depth maps, stuck after a while in “Creating model”.
I noticed when committed ram (virtual ram) reaches about 110GB the system start to become completely unresponsive (and the performance drops completely).

C: disk utilization is maxed out at 100% (m.2 ssd with peaks at 2GB/s, plus the cache is on another ssd), I checked system monitor and all the bandwidth is taken by RealityCapture for the pagefile.sys (virtual memory paging for the ram). I don’t think it’s normal behavior to have constant 1.5GB/s reads and writes for the pagefile, before reaching the 110GB committed memory I have some peaks, but everything is stable and the disk is not under 100% full load constantly.

I already tried to manually expand the pagefile from the base 128GB to 254GB but nothing changed.
Smaller projects that don’t reach the 110GB committed ram don’t have any problem.

I would think the solution is upgrading the ram, and by the fact that virtual memory scales at max x4 by the ram size it should fix the swap problems.

However I still don’t know if this abnormal paging is normal. Any advice?
