Since Twinmotion is always later to the releases of the Unreal Engine, probably also the Unreal Engine 5 will sooner or later form the basis of Twinmotion in future versions. Going into the technology of "LUMEN" in Unreal 5, will this have an impact on Apple users?
As I understood "LUMEN" is not like RTX -> Path Tracer a technology that is dependent on RTX graphics cards in combination with Microsoft Direct X 12/13...?
Long story short: Will LUMEN be implemented in Twinmotion for Apple in the future, and fill the final GAP for Apple users being not able to Raytrace in Twinmotion?
Thank you for posting in the community your question, and I do not have additional details for Apple computer at this time and what will work the best for them in the near future with Twinmotion.
As you are aware Twinmotion is built from the Unreal Engine technology so it will adopt some of the UE 5 technology and what can work for Mac and TM. I am sure as UE 5 gets more developed the overall picture on what will work for Mac with UE and what Twinmotion can adopt should be clearer. Since we do have a TM to UE plugin you could start testing/using Lumen on a Mac.
Hope this helps and if you have any ideas or suggestions you can make them on our road-map:
