raytraced vs raster translucency in postprocess

Hi,

when i use raytraced translucency, the quality of straight translucent objects like windows is perfect, but not good on round objects like this ball.

when i use raster translucency, the reflection is good on the ball but bad on the straight object (window). how is this possible?

and is it possible to use different kind of translucency types on different elements in the scene?
