Ray tracing in 5.5

Hello guys,

How can we setup scene for ray tracing like in back versions. Before we could use ray tracing standalone and how can we use now when we disable lumen.

Note:- Everything that you will read below is by considering real time Performance like if Interactive Archviz or Making Game and stuff like that but if you just want to use Ray Tracing Reflection, just head over to your PPV and change translucency to Ray tracing from raster.

Well the thing is that we can’t use standalone raytracing anymore, as Epic wanted to push their new Lumen lighting system ahead more and they integrated raytracing kind of in their lumen, but again it is not accurate raytracing and more like boosted up screen space kind of reflection thing is what i think is more proper way to explain.

but if you still wanted to use ray traced reflection than you can do that by going in your Post Process Volume and change translucency from Raster to Ray Tracing but beware that you need proper models and way too much higher settings for it to work or you might get dark or splotched reflections.

I myself have been trying to work with this by getting Ray tracing reflection but also keeping the Performance quite game friendly.
