Hey.
I have a blast of images, CR2s from a Canon and if I add these into RC if will calculate my model nicely.
However. If I pull all of these images through pthotoshop (I am removing green screen spill) and save the images as a sequence TIFF if will only manage to pull of half the model. Is there a way I can hook up these tiffs to the cameras in RC? The CR2 cameras aligh in the viewport and I have the TIFFs in so if I could link the tif to the corresponding camera I would be able to use the TIFF for texture and the CR2 for model calc.
Is this possible, or is there something else I could try out?
Thanks,
Hi Joachim Ringstad
First, what settings have you used to convert the RAWs to TIFFs ? as it looks like they interfere with your alignment…
To change it, use any good text editor ( Edit++ ) and make BACKUP of *.RCPROJ file, then change the paths or just the file extensions…
Hi.
Thanks for the quick reply.
I am using Camera Raw 9.7.
On export I don’t really have many options.I set the color space to 16 bits/channel and then all I can do is really export.
I will check the project text editor hack. If that will keep the position of the cameras and replace the image I should be able to:
- calculate the model
- save project
- edit the paths
- open project
- hit texture to get the textures without spill
- export
- be happy
I will give it a spin now and let you know how that goes.
The best thing of course for the pipeline is to not have to replace manually. I can also try to pull the
pictures through NUKE and see if I can get an export there that works as well.
swapping source images in the file itself worked, but I will try to get the Tiffs working as well and work more on getting it through Nuke or similar
I have tried it in Nuke, Photoshop and Lightroom.
CR2 files line up, but it has issues finding details in a black pant.
I want to tweak the balance in the image hoping I can place out enough control points to get it
more properly aligned and maybe it will catch some more of the model.
TIFF, JPG, nothing works AFTER the converting of the CR2 files.
Any clue?
