Ranked System Changes

Hello Epic Games Team,

I’m writing to share feedback on the recent changes to the ranked system, specifically how ranked quests now require players to rank up (such as reaching Gold III or Champion) to earn rewards.

I’m a casual, free-to-play player, and I rely on ranked rewards for cosmetics since I can only afford to buy a skin maybe once a month. In the past, ranked felt fair and enjoyable because I could complete quests simply by playing ranked matches. Even if I lost, my time still counted, which made the experience rewarding without feeling stressful.

With the new system, progress is tied strictly to ranking up. I don’t have the time to practice intensely or compete at a high level, as I play mostly for fun. While I understand ranked is meant to reward skill, this change has made ranked feel inaccessible to casual players like me.

For example, I’ve been stuck in Gold I in Rocket Racing for about three weeks. I can’t consistently compete at this level, and losing without any quest progress has been frustrating. Previously, my effort would still count toward rewards.

I appreciate the free rewards offered through other events, but ranked used to be a reliable way for casual and free-to-play players to earn cosmetics. Now it feels discouraging and unrewarding.

I hope you’ll consider alternative ways to earn ranked rewards, such as participation-based quests or a separate progression path for casual players.

Thank you for your time and for continuing to support the game.
