Randomly generated dungeons

Hey guys,

Based on UE4 procedural room tutorial I made Randomly generated dungeons algorythm.

I’ve made a lot of improvements. Moving logic from GameMode to actor, changing casting problems and switching to interfaces, fixing problems with corridors going through other rooms, fixing problems with nearest rooms - I remember in AABB all connections to other rooms so I can go backwards and find nearest room and fix that original problem. I added three-tier floors and staircases inside corridors. I’ve simplified logic adding many macros and new functions. Finally I have improved performance. I also had a lot of calculations. For instance I compute staircase angle from arcus tangens.

Very cool stuff! Great work on varying the look between different stages. Already the levels feel pretty different, and this will only become better when you start adding meshes and enemies. I love procedural generation and dungeons, so I’ll be keeping an eye on this

This is awesome, I would love to hear more about how you set all this up :D. Also hope you get this onto the marketplace at a decent price, or do tutorials on how you set this up…or even better both!

I will try to do everything what You have mentioned but first of all I need to start greenlight campaign and finish mutiplayer in my Archeo game. I wish to get Unreal Dev Grant to speed my work up.

How do You like my improvements?

I think it looks really good. A lot of people would like to get her hands on it.

Very nice! I like the variety in themes.
I’m doing something similar but it’s very early days at the moment.
