As seen in the GIF below, calculating a scan at Normal Quality works great, but at High Quality, patches that would otherwise just be a bit smooth come out with ~100-400 triangles. I am at a total loss as to what i can do to prevent this. One person suggested i disable hyperthreading of all things?
7950x
1x 4090

Edit: Normal Quality wasn’t spared, approx half of parts seem to randomly have basically no triangles
This looks quite strange. Your models have too much parts for such small dataset. What were the reconstructions settings? Are you able to reproduce this issue also after the application reset?
There shouldn’t be differences between 1.5.1 and 2.1 version in the meshing process, so your results are surprising. Are you running this on the same machine (different versions)?
So I had gotten it working manually in 2.1 by increasing the vertex count per part limit to 1.5m
Then I reset the application per your instructions and saw the default value for that setting.
Somehow, the default setting of 5,000,000 verts per part max was at 50,000 to create the errors in my original post :D. I was in 2.1 for the first time with this scan, so not sure how that limit got lowered given i had never even seen this menu item, perhaps a cat stepped on my keyboard
