I’ve spent now three days trying to sort this problem.
I’ve got Ultra Dynamic Sky set up in my UE5.4 project. Just one level, no sub-levels or anything. Just one shot.
I’ve got Ultra Dynamic Weather dropped in, rain is going, looks gorgeous in game-play. Switched the settings over to Offline/Cinematic mode in UDW per the instructions.
I go to render out my Movie Render Queue Sequencer, and the rain doesn’t render.
I’ve tried keyframing a trigger into the sequencer, I’ve tried setting up to 250 warm up frames (my normal is 64), I’ve checked accepts decals on everything, I’ve tried Game Override settings on and off, nothing is working.
Please help. Screenshots from gameplay and from the render.
Can you try and disable all the overrides in game overrides? The rain is pretty small. Is it possible you need more sampling? Is it still there in PIE?
I think it has something to do with the depth of field on the camera chopping off rain particles, plus TSR or anti-aliasing. At least with 5.5 we can render out holdout passes on the shot, thank goodness, because I’m going to have to bring this into After Effects and put rain in after the fact. Big bummer, should be able to render particulate like this from UE, that’s like, a huge selling point is the rain interacting with the surfaces. Let me know if y’all sort anything out.
