Radiant light makes the system freeze

Hi,
I got the UE4 (4.7) just a couple of days ago and I’m following the tutorial on the site.
I am at the start, under section Unreal Editor Quick Start Guide and I must place actors.
When I place the directional light, the system freeze after a few seconds!
To unlock the situation I must force a reset of my system.
Any idea to fix the problem??

Asus Sabertooth X79,
Intel i7 3960K 3.2GHz,
Nvidia GTX 580,
Win 7 Ultimate x64

Hi Kah722,

Could you post a copy of your full ‘dxdiag’ (system specs) for us?

Also, do you get this behavior an a new blank project?

Yes, I’m working in a new blank project.
I’m following the tutorial step by step
I will post the full dxdiag later, now I can’t, I’m on an other PC.
Anyway, thanks for the quikly answer!

Here attached the dxdiag file

Here the dxdiag!

All the basic stuff in your system specs seems fine. Just make sure that you have the latest driver for your graphics card, but don’t install the beta driver. They can sometimes be unstable.

The drivers are ok!
I made the update to Frame Network 4.5.2, but the problem remain.
Anyway, the last time I could put directional light and atmosphere fog before the system freeze. So the directional light it’s not the original cause.
I know GTX 580 has big troubles to manage dx11, could be the reason?
(my system has the same bad behavior with dx11 games!)

I SOLVED!!!
Was my video card, thr GTX 580 DIRECT CU II: I put 1.15V on my card with afterburner and now all works great!!!
Thanks anyway!
