Hi guys!
i’m using unreal engine version 4.18.3 on a computer with a radeon r9 380x with the latest drivers.i’m experimenting continous crashes after around 30 minutes of use…i’ve made my research and i found many posts dated 2016 of people having the same issues…practically all of the posts ended with no final solution about this problem…is it possible that still in 2018 there are those problems of compatibility? is there a solution that i might have missed to solve this very annoying problem…it makes very difficult for me to use unreal on that machine
thanks
This won’t help because I don’t know why, but can I ask what the name of your pc is?
Can I ask what your pc is?
i’m using the video card on this system:
amd fx 8320 8 core
16gb ddr3
windows 10
ssd + hdd
psu cougar 600w
any help?maybe some option in the engine to mess with?
hello, since i started to use ue4, i have amd video cards (hd 7970, amd r9 270, amd r9 580x) at my end ue4 never crashed, in my opinion your problem could be
- overheating
- memory problems
- OS related
always used amd video cards on this computer, never had a problem.
with the new r9 380x no overheating after hours with houdini doing graphic and playing mass effect andromeda
same for memory and os related problems.no problems at all with other software and no problems at all,ue4 included, with the old video card hd 6950.
so i installed the new video card, everything works except unreal engine, you draw conclusions
have you tried to format your hard disk and reinstall the O.S. with all your software? when i change hardware i always do a clean reinstall to avoid problems.
