Hello, its been awhile since Fab took over Quixel megascans and from my understanding when Fab took over there was a grace period for people to get ALL the quixel assets past and future still for free that signed up for it but now im seeing assets that are still paid for. Did i miss read the sign up or is this whats to come from Fabs take over?
that is extremely disappointing will they atleast fix the currect assets or is that a just another thing down the drain? Ive been duing tutorials and alot of the assets have really messed up names now or not as complete as it once was like the ‘Nordic_Coastal_Groundcover’ had 56 different plants in it but now only has 17 and even though it said that it had the FoliageType already made i had to remake all 17 just to be able to use.
Thank you for you time hopefully someone from Fab will somehow show up and have an answer im really sad to see Quixel Bridge get ripped up after all they good assets theyve worked hard for
Hello @ZanHeart Please note that the offer was only applicable to the assets that were migrated to Fab from Bridge and claimed in the promotional period. All the new assets are now available as priced.
In case you are facing issues with any assets, please share more details so that I can replicate the issue at my end. It would be even better if you could create a support ticket and include the information there, as that will help us investigate the issue more thoroughly.
I’m having the same problem over and over. I download an asset from FAB, unzip, then drag into my project Contents folder. Now what usually happens is I try to drag in the included json file that’s in the downloaded folder. Then I get a pop up asking some questions about that which I don’t know how to answer and usually cancel the json download. But everything else is now in my project except that my material is blank so my mesh models look grey unless I go in and completely redo the materials. Usually I delete everything and just drag the textures in one by one. This whole thing is horribly inefficient and I hope there is a better way.
Is there a way to import the json file?
Will that help UE know where the textures all belong without me recreating all materials/material instances?

You had a great thing with Quixel Bridge and now you broke it on purpose and I don’t get it.
i would rather stay here as im not the only one with such problem plus ill end up coming back too and its simple go to fab download vf5pajccb from Quxiel bridge and youll see its not named ‘Nordic_Beach_Rocky_Ground’. The ‘Nordic_costal_groundcover’ had 56 different plants according to this video where as now downloading it today it has 17 plants and just a heads up some of the FoliageTypes need to be remade because when trying to use the foliage tool i had to remake the assets for it to be used in the foliage tool but that was the only one that did.
