Quixel Megascans can't login, says I'm offline

When I try to open Quixel Megascans library, it says I’m offline and cannot login:

request to
https://accounts.quixel.com/api/v1/login/epic
failed, reason: unable to verify the first certificate

Changing paths didn’t help as mentioned on forums. Can someone help what to do? Tried reinstalling the plugin, updating, reinstalling UE5, nothing helped…

Same thing here…any solutions anybody?

Hi, have solution:

ESET NOD32 Anti-Virus. After it’s most recent update, it seems to be blocking the Bridge Plugin in UE5.

  1. Uninstall the Anti-Virus entirely. (This ensures that the issue will not come up again)

  2. Or follow the steps below:

Navigate into Setup > Advanced Setup

Select Web Access protection

Now click on Edit next to “Excluded Applications”

Add the path for nodeBifrost utility:

\UE_5.3\Engine\Plugins\Bridge\ThirdParty\Win\node-bifrost.exe

Click on “okay” where required and your settings will be saved.

You should now be able to run Bridge within UE5 successfully.

It worked for me!!! I was going insane trying to figure out why quixel suddenly stopped working… So thank you!

Thank you so much! It’s really helpful!
