Sorry to ask this here, but I don’t see a forum for Quixel Bridge and since it’s not part of the engine, didn’t think it would make sense to report it with the normal bug reporting.
If one uses a high latency connection, Quixel Bridge dies constantly. Sometimes it doesn’t make any difference because the download (e.g., a MegaScan download) will complete and you can export when you get it restarted. But today, it logged me out and I can’t even get the Epic Login to load. Obviously I’m logged in here even as Quixel Bridge is failing (meaning a regular http connection is fine). Sure seems like it’s TCP may have too low a time out. Some of us still can’t get anything other than satellite connections where we live. The latency can range up to 100s of milliseconds. Need sites that don’t give up too quickly (similar to how a regular HTTP server/browser remains persistent).
It’s not really a question, just a suggestion to test Quixel Bridge on a high-latency connection and retune it not to die. It happens whenever I try to grab a metahuman too.
