Please note that you won’t be able to download new assets on Bridge after Fab has launched. You can however download your previously acquired assets in Bridge.

why???
that makes the workflow a thousand times more complicated…

could you please explain to me the workflow you thought about when making this platform…
is the process of getting 3d assets from your website to 3dsmax:
-download, import fbx. texture the asset in 3ds max then save locally.??? that takes 3x the time

I have same issue with blender - You clearly cant export directly from Fab, and quixel wont work anymire with download / export… doesnt look like there is any solution other than placing manually in the software… calling it a step back is un understatement

Just wondering why folks are talking about sharing information “from tips and tricks, workflow best practices” in relation to megascans, after just hitting delete on pretty much all of the functionality of Bridge.

Looking forward to hearing about the “workflow best practices” that can make up for the fundamental loss of ‘any’ megascans production “workflow” now that bridge is largely dysfunctional.

I’m presuming that artists working in-house at Epic will still have access to a functional version of bridge, and will continue to do so, as new scans are added? Otherwise production costs on internal projects / demos etc would go up

Yes please. Can we get an explanation on how and why.

also (just talking from my pov here) i guess a solution will/could be a working bridge behind a paywall, so if u wanna make it work again u need to subscribe in order to support the poor 32 billion dollar company epic games…
please prove me wrong epic. support people using your platforms and make art accessible again.

So Bridge is completely useless now(Thanks Epic). The only workaround I found is to create a shortcut to https://www.fab.com/sellers/Quixel and navigate from there. as a 3ds max user, without a dedicated plug in. FAB is just another martial website like many others that are free… I’ll wait until the end of 2024 and probably never come back.

I agree. This seems pretty ridiculous. And the worst part is I found out only a month ago that Quixel bridge worked with Cinema4d Octane renderer. I was super excited because it made my workflow 3x faster but now it doesn’t work! Ahhhh!!! Bring it back!!

so, judging by the lack of response from any epic team support here… there is no workaround, bridge is pretty much dead and there is no other way to get assets than manually downloading it from the site and manually placing / setting it up in the chosen software?
Asking just so I understand there is no actual proper streamlined workflow that epic planned here that I am missing ?
