I didn’t test that, but when creating a MH in 5.6 you can choose DCC Export option inside Assembly tab:

I did exactly as you described but my metahuman character seem to loose idle animation when imported to my level.
What do I need to do to keep facial and body idle animations?

As far as I know, those facial and body animations are for previewing only, so it’s not possible to export them with your metahuman.

But you can grab some animations from this Epic Games Metahuman project to test with your metahuman: MetaHumans | Fab
