Quick Start Assets deleted

I have tried several quick start tutorials and have often seen the following messages : [FONT=Times New Roman]The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. That makes these tutorials not so useful.

Hey there Tullius43!

Have you ensured that you checked to install starter content when installing the engine? IIRC it’s tied to that.

I checked the starter content but there will be still problems:

a) Quick Start Artist

The name of the assets are like “Basic_Asset1” and “T_Rock_D04.tga”. These assets may included in the starter content but must have a different name.

b) Images

Many tutorials contain images (Blueprint Scripting). Attached is an example. When the picture is large, expanding it helps but i had a case when the picture was still unreadable when i expanded it and that’s why i clicked on “open in a window”. Then i got the error message.

(BTW I like the documentation very much and it is really helpful.)

UPDATE: For anyone else that’s running into the same issue, while we wait for epic to fix all of the dead links to assets you can also find these assets hosted on the wiki. For example, the counterpart to the resource I mentioned below is available here: https://wiki.unrealengine.com/First_…Your_Character

Hi, I am also running into the same problem. I can confirm that I’ve started the projects with Starter Content and the content referenced by the tutorials is not available.

For example, all of the assets for the First Person Shooter tutorial is missing, e.g. this page https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/…sonShooter/4/1
