Hi all
As I understand, UE4 does not do vertex animations in FBX, right? So if I wanted to animate a box with the lid opening and closing, I’d have to assign the lid a bone, and animate it that way?

If you want to do it in Maya/Max/Modo/Blender, you have to do it with bones/joints yes. For something simple as a box or chest, I would recommend using Timelines inside Blueprints instead to animate the lid. Just to avoid skeletal meshes if it’s not needed.
Blueprint Timelines… didn’t know about that yet. Thanks!
