[Questions] Issues that need clarification

A few things that I have to ask.

One - Are we going to be able to release a closed alpha version of our game ( Once an alpha is completed ) within a group of testers? We were going to give a few builds to some YouTuber’s show they could present that to an audience, which would then lead people to our Kickstarter campaign. So it’s very important that it’s allowed.

Mainly I’m asking this question because it was clearly stated in my license request that I would need this to happen.

Two - Are we going to have to destroy all the progress we have completed after the beta is over?

Also I clearly stated that we were developing a game. Not just testing things out.

It’s become a concern because I’ve seen posts like these. I couldn’t find the follow-up, or the answer to that question on the thread, so I figured I should probably just ask and get a clear answer.

Three - With the Kickstarter campaign, we were planning on using “Closed Beta”, and “Closed Alpha” versions of our game as an incentive.

Those are again, VERY important aspects to the success of our game.

I don’t know if those things would have to be filed in an agreement separate to the NDA, if it’s already covered in the NDA, or it’s not covered at all at this point.

Thanks for your time, and I absolutely love the engine :3

Dear Ryan,

For the bulk of your questions, the requirement is that you can pass out packaged builds of your game to non-rocket-beta-testers.

I have already asked this question and Epic is working on it:
