Question: Why does my material move on my landscape when I get close

Hi All

I have noticed that the material on my landscape, kinda slides around the landscape when I move close or go further away.

Is there a solution, or am I doing something wrong.

I have noticed that my landscape will change shape depending on distance.

I have noticed that a Mesh on a hill top will show above the land until you get close.

Regards

Another example of where the landscape moves.

How do I change it, I am running High in Detail Level.

Is there an area where I can change this?

Regards

Found it,

What should I do?

Solved

Except I changed LOD from -1 to 0, and can not set -1 again

Thanks

Does the material for the landscape have a “BumpMapOffset” node? I tried experimenting with those on some materials, and found that they gave an effect like in your video when I used them in landscapes.

It happens with every material, it even moves in wire frame.

All I have done with the landscape, sculptor tool.

I made a very quick level, basic material, still does it. (YouTube having a heart attack processing the video)

Hi Franktech

The only language barrier might be Wine.

I have never made anything with landscapes. All of my previous works have been purely Meshes and learning different aspects one at a .

Now I know about the LOD settings, that should help me to achieve what I need.

I am using 4.7.0

Cheers for the answers.

Thanks a lot. It helped me)
