Question to Level Designers!

Hello Everyone,

If you are a Level Designer or have had experience before, then I would love to hear your input on how you would Block out (Greybox) this using Unreal Engine! Here’s my plan, and please feel free to tell me your workflow:

  1. First, I will do landscape design, starting with the flat surfaces, then moving towards sculpting mountains and hills.,
  2. I am planning to tackle the small houses first, then work my way up to block out the left and right old ruins, then working on middle broken path to the main castle.,
  3. Finally, I will block out the main castle and make walls.,

Is this what you would do as a level designer if you were working in a team? Here’s the reference image which is part of a project/challenge/practice to enhance my skills given to me by new friend/mentor.

After talking to my friend/mentor who is industry veteran, I have decided to start my journey as Level Designer and learn other skills when I get the job. My 10-15 year goal is to work for a big team company and learn all the skills that I need to, then start making my dream games once I feel confident about my skills.
