Question to edit textures of objects imported from vectorworks or sketchup.
When building the model in vectorworks or sketchup, I placed different Layers for each item, always with the same color or texture.
When I transfer/export to TwinMotion, is possible to see the layers separated, however, whenever I change the texture of an object, the other items copy the texture, I am not able to separate the items with different textures in TwinMotion.
I understand that TwinMotion just works that way right now, please someone correct me if im wrong, would like to also know if its possible to do it differently. Extra annoying is when you import a model with different textures, but then you change the texture to something that’s already a texture of a different model, after this you cant change the textures of the different models separately anymore.
Right now I’m getting around this topic as follows.
After creating my model in vectorworks and separating each object by class.
I select class by class and change the color example:
Class 01:
A: 255
G: 255
B: 255
Class 02:
A: 254
G: 255
B: 255
Class 03:
A: 253
G: 255
B: 255
…
This way, when exporting each item, it is possible to modify the texture individually.
