Question on real time data input stream to Unreal

Hello , I would like to know in what direction do my research about direct data stream from an external capture source into an unreal environment.

My point is for example have a webcam monitoring a area or surface and stream any change of information to unreal to represent , I can eventually use a middleware to process webcam data and then stream that to Unreal , but what I want to achieve is Unreal application be permanently online with a direct link to the monitoring position and then when a change happens , like a person crossing the area, a cat walking or a ball rolling or whatever else this gets ( eventually translated by the middleware for pattern recognition etc ) into an entity in unreal …
Another thing is Lidar data be streamed directly to unreal visualization , not by manual import but by direct link with exterior program or datalink…

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
