Question: Importing Rigid Body Animation through Maya

Hey guys, new here I was wondering if there was any way to use rigged animation to get non skinned objects from maya into Unreal 4, and still have them animated. Simply put allowing key-frame animation on the mesh rather then the joint, then being able to have the object still animate in Unreal 4. I feel its just a setting i need to set up. However currently I haven’t had any luck on the importation of the asset.

In the FBX exporter window, select Bake Animation. When you import it to UE4, select Import Animation, and Import Rigid Mesh.

If you have multiple objects that you want to import as a single skeletal mesh, then they must have a single root object that they are linked to.
