Question about using a 2080ti with an inferior AMD GPU...

Hi everyone, maybe someone more experienced than me could offer some advice…

I just got a 2080ti for work with Unreal and Blender. I have my previous GPU which is a AMD 8gb Saphire Nitro. I’m wondering if I could use the AMD just for displays and the 2080Ti just for rendering, ray tracing etc… basically the heavy stuff. What I’m hoping is that I would spare some of the 2080Ti’s vram by not having a couple of monitors plugged into it. I hope this makes sense? Thanks everyone.

There isn’t a way to assign GPUs in that manner. It would require specific internal changes to a software program to use a different GPU for things within the software program.
