I have a question about using a 3d Scanner Like a RaptorX from Creality Scan 4, exporting, and using photogrammetry mode in RealityScan to texture the object. Is it currently possible to achieve this in Reality Scan. The quality of the texture support is really low currently through Creality Scan 4.
As long as you have images of the object, you can align them in RealityScan and then import the object created by RaptorX, and texture it using the provided images. The trickiest part is to have the RealityScan image alignment and the scanned object in the same coordinate system. You can try to follow this tutorial: Texturing Handheld Laser Scan Models | Tutorial
The image capture from any 3D scanner is poor compared to a DSLR, drone, or cell phone camera. This is true even of the high end 3d scanners costing 30k+.
Very true, the resolution is very low on them, but getting started on using Realityscan to hopefully bridge that some, but I may be better off using something like substance to texture things. I flew a drone and scanned some cabins and took some dslr shots but wanted to see how far I could push things.
