Hi, i’m a bit confused about the rules for assets creation in Star Wars islands.
1/ I understand i cant use 3d model of existing StarWars location or existing vehicule that is not already in Fortnite (too bad …), but what about other invented place or vehicule that dont exist in the Starwars franchise or other brand, something created from scratch, like some old ruins of a temple or something like that, is it allowed ?
2/ the same question but about character, is it allowed to create a monster for example that is not in the saga, some kind of beast for the player to fight but invented, not from the original saga ?
and also for character, is it allowed to create for example an antagonist in a narrative game , like a bounty hunter created from scratch and not already existing in the starwars franchise ?
or are we allowed to use only the assets,characters and locations in the Starwars Fortnite folder ?
There’s a “Star Wars Tools Office Hours” this Friday on Discord. These questions could be asked there. (Although the office hours will probably be focused more on the devices and less on rules)
It seems reasonable to be able to make your own original temples/monsters. (Holding brand rule 2 in mind " You are not permitted to create your own version of a Star Wars Asset or new assets based on Star Wars or Star Wars Assets, or to recreate any non-genuine Star Wars Assets")
So I think your understanding is good - I wouldn’t name your temple after any existing-lore temple, or try to reproduce any existing-lore bounty hunters etc.
