How to control the quality of the texture besides the Texel size?
I used the same setup to produce different model, some specific model just get realy blurry results in texturing.
the left is results, really burry, right is input photo.

Hi @JulianJann
First of all, the 3D view doesn’t provide a full texture resolution of the model, it shows it as 1 16k texture. To see the proper texture quality, you need to render the view.
Second, your texture quality is just 13%, so probably you don’t need to have 16k texture (maybe your images are not enough for that). Also, are all your used images focused or do you have some blurry images in your dataset? If so, disable those blurry images for the texturing.
understand. I not only work with this one, other works looks fine for me.
I have tried again, set the unwrap option, the style to fix texel size, and set texel size to optimal, maximal texture size to 4K, then the quality get normal, but there are 56 4K texture.
the unit per texel seems very tiny, any idea i can reduce the numbers of texture?
I suppose the biggest influence on the quality had the used texel size. As you set it to optimal, the quality is 100%. In that case you can try to use 16k.
As your project is not scaled, this unit is not exact. If you want it to have in mm, you need to scale your model.
thx for replying. As I undertand it, i need to scale my model, in the stage of allignment? if the model is produced, i cant get it scaled?
I suppose you don’t need to do that. It depends on your needs and what will be the usage of the resulted model.
It is possible to scale before alignment, after alignment, even after meshing.
