Quality of life

Gonna keep it short, I hope for unreal engine 6 that you start carying more about patching all the little quirks thatcome with your engine, and the lumen shader itself with all the janky shadows and jittering issues etc.

you dont have to keep adding new innovative features that challange today’s hardware. but rather keeping it tame and bettering the develeoper’s expereince to make games better and faster, basically an easier workflow that doesnt feel like a 9/5, with actual implementations to make a team workflow so i can me and my friends work on the same project without all the hazard from git and same work files, but you’d be the one who handles that stuff in the cloud, it feels a bit weird for us to share files just to work on something when the engine’s whole thing is it’s made for everyone, so it shouldnt be hell to work with other people.

TLDR: i just want a better interface and workflow, better and stable shadows and lights that dont vomit every 2 seconds trying to reach relisim but failing due to it’s many bugs, having more shadow options baiscally so games can look different easier, and a cloud based workflow where i can use me and my frined’s epic accounts to connect and work together from the engine itself with no plugins.

edit: also most unreal engine games just look terrible, not because of the devlpers or anything but purely because of the engine’s shaders. look at expedittion 33 and split fiction, the newest unreal engine games and they look beautiful in their own regard. but when you look at the far away stuff and the characaters themselves and how they’re shaded with the glitchy shadows and insane blur. it just makes the games look cheap. i dont know how to describe it but it just looks terrible.

unreal engine, not every game is reaching hyper realisim for a photo, these are NOT game ready shaders where there tends to be alot of movements and teleportations.
